That's what i'm asking. I figure this is as good a question as any to get this tribe started. It's a big district with a lot to offer.

I think having John Mclaren park is a good thing.

In my opinion, Sandoval is also doing a fine job as supervisor for the Excelsior, and the Apollo Theater project is finally under construction, which should hopefully improve that block of Geneva.
And the gentrification that was forecast during the dot-com boom never really happened, which is good.

He's certainly better than old Amos Brown was. I was a bit concerned about Sandoval for a while, especially where the Ingleside was concerned. It looks like since Ocean ave was redone, the area has a chance to grow.

I'm pleased that there has been little gentrification as well. I would love to see some books stores and record stores along Ocean ave. With all of the students in the area, I'm amazed the city hasn't promoted the area more.

MacLaren is a godd thing, although it would be better if Parks and Rec were taking better care of it.

I love the multi-culturalism of the neighborhood. And it was proven in the latest census: it is the most racially mixed district of the city. One third latino, one third asian, one third black and white.

I loved the community effort and everyone getting together to build the new park for the kids at Moscow and Geneva.

Well tho there are a lot of amazingly bad restaurants in this area BUT there is one or two that blow you away like a very good Hungarian Restaurant and it's terrible I have forgotten it's name but you can't miss it it's right near the Safeway on the opposite side with a yellow sign and it is I think run by gypsies and the food is fabulous Sophie , you and Dylan know this place right? anyway that's a good thing and I like Mclaren park tho I will agree it definitely should be taken better care of but I AM glad we have that

but has anyone checked out Glen Canyon? It's at the end of Chenery St pretty good for hikes and glen park maybe a sad excuse for a residential but the cheese shop is primo and the french restaurant is great also Yong de the chinese AND sushi place is pretty good and fast service too!

Is Glen Park in District 11? I thought that they were too wealthy to be down with us little people in the Southern Hinterlands.
For that matter, I think they they should re-name everything south of Bernal Heights "The Forbidden Zone", or "The Neighborhoods Which Shall Not Be Named".

Confirmed: Glen Park is not in District 11. But for those of us who take BART, there's a few good places around there. The bar called Glen Park Station is pretty cool.
