It sucks that kids grow up in this district feeling left out. As someone who grew up there I got sick and tired of explaining where the Excelsior is.....I would constantly say in between the Cow Palace and City College.

I think our main goal should be finding a way to help put our district on the map.

I've been advocating for this during the last three years and it has slowly been happening.

I also got tired of people telling me "oh that's where Dan White is from" or "Patty Hearst was arrested there."

I strongly feel that if we focus on promoting the positive attributes of this neighborhood everything else would fall in place.

More beautification is definitely needed.
